MacGrid AR
Advanced Geogrid Solution for Asphalt Reinforcement
MacGrid AR is part of the biaxial symmetric geogrid family, uniquely engineered for asphalt reinforcement applications. Built with a glass core, though PET-based solutions are also available, MacGrid AR offers exceptional strength at low strain, ensuring it performs optimally under the dynamic loads of paved surfaces. This makes it highly compatible with the specific stresses experienced in asphalt applications, improving the overall durability and longevity of pavements.
The innovative design of MacGrid AR extends to its coating and mesh size, which are tailored to match the chemical composition and physical dimensions of asphalt layers. This precise engineering ensures seamless integration with paving materials, providing an effective solution that addresses the demanding conditions of asphalt reinforcement projects. MacGrid AR enhances pavement performance by reducing cracking and extending the lifespan of roads and other paved surfaces.
With its high-performance capabilities, MacGrid AR is ideal for infrastructure projects, road maintenance, and large-scale paving operations. By improving the structural integrity of asphalt layers, it minimizes the need for frequent repairs, offering a cost-effective and sustainable solution for asphalt reinforcement.

HASSELT N71 HERKENRODESINGEL
Belgium
The Limburg Department of Transportation began reconstructing route N71, a heavily travelled truck route, in the city of Hasselt (Limburg, Belgium). . The old and damaged asphalt roadway was also replaced. The road is the main route for trucks accessing and exiting the nearby residential area and commercial area. Due to the heavy traffic, the AWV Limburg wanted a product to help reinforce the new roadway. They were looking for a product that could withstand the load pressures from the constant truck traffic and help extend the lifespan of the newly paved road, minimizing the damage associated with the truck traffic, such as cracking and rutting.

SUNSET CLIFF
Spain
The two towers that make up the Sunset Cliff complex rise from the top of a slope composed of marl and anthropogenic fill, located just behind the beach. Due to the irregular topography and surface instability, it was decided to reshape the slope's profile through a significant excavation campaign to create different elevation levels. This allowed the architects to meet the owner's requests for recreational spaces at the base of the slope, terraced green areas, swimming pools, access roads, and parking areas at the top. Following the natural terrain orientation, three areas of intervention were defined: North, West, and East, each of which required different earth retention systems to ensure the stability of the remodeled slope.
